David Serna, attorney for over 40 years, started his law career as a violent crimes prosecutor for four years. In 1981, he began paving his way to becoming one of New Mexico’s top-rated defense attorneys. That year, he made the decision to establish his law firm, the Serna Law Offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico. To provide quality service to his clients, Mr. Serna personally handles all cases, devotes his undivided attention to each case, and addresses the concerns raised by his clients.

Mr. David Serna is a fervent supporter of constitutional protections, such as the individual’s right to life, freedom, and liberty. This led him to dedicate most of his life as a defense attorney. He specializes in several areas in criminal law, including homicide, drug crimes, drug trafficking, criminal defense, white collar crimes, military criminal defense, grand jury investigations, juvenile law, and sexual offenses.

He is the only lawyer in New Mexico who maintains a certification issued by the National Board of Trial Advocacy Certified Attorney. He has also maintained a Criminal Law Specialist’s Certification issued by New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization.

Apart from being a recipient of several distinctions and board certifications, Mr. Serna’s hobbies include singing and collecting fine cigars.
